ReplyDeleteHey, I just got your Digger & Tug book today. I had to get my tires rotated and while I was waiting I went to the Hallmark store across the street. I spotted your art on the cover from across the store! Great work, congrats!

ReplyDeleteI picked up two copies myself this week. I'm proud of it, but the story is pretty weak. It was the first time any of us had worked on a book and we had an editor who never showed up for any of our pre-planning meetings. So, in my opinion, the story just kind of goes nowhere. The designer (Scott Swanson), the writer Jake and I did our best, but now I see all the flaws in it. Still, not bad for a first time.
Plus, it's probably the first time the word "poot" has ever appeared on Hallmark product.
